12 Amazing Android SECRETS, TIPS and TRICKS

Since most of us want to get the best out of our phones, it is essential we know some of the tips and tricks of these Android phones. These hacks and tips can certainly help all of us to use our Android phones better and help to get the best out of them.

  1. Calling favorite contacts with one tap – Android allows you to create icons on your home screen for contacts. To add a contact, press and hold an empty space on your screen. When the menu opens selectShortcuts > Contact. You can also scroll through your contacts list and tap the person you want to add to your favorite contact list.
  2. Search with your voice – Google’s search app lets you search the web or your Android phone just by talking. Press the microphone icon next to the search bar and record your search. It will provide you with accurate results.
  3. Type with your voice – Many Android phones have talk-to-type built into the keyboard. Tap the mic icon and just talk. Android does the rest.
  4. Use your phone as a hard drive – You can also plug your phone into your computer with a USB cable, and activate Android’s storage mode. Doing this you can swap files between your computer and phone, making life easy.
  5. Close running apps – Android allows you to view how much processing power each open app is using. Go toSettings > Running Services to view the list. If something is open that you don’t need tap it and select Stop to close the app.

  7. Get rid of animated wallpapers to save battery – Android’s animated backgrounds are cool, but are battery consuming. If your phone is losing charge quickly, switch to a still background instead. You can stop animate backgrounds by going toSettings > Display > Animations.
  8. Organize apps into folders – One can also get a new folder on the home screen by pressing and holding an open space on the Android phone. When the menu pops up selectFolders > New Folder. A new folder will show up on your screen. You can now drag apps into it.
  9. Cast your screen – If you have Chrome cast, you can easily mirror your Android’s by using the cast function. Just open theQuick Settings menu and hit Cast. Your device will find your Chromecast and start using.
  10. Screen pinning – You can pin screen by going to Settings > Securityand scrolling down to Screen pinning. To pin a screen, open the app, select the Overview button and then the pin icon. Now choose PIN-protect on the pinned screen.
